DIESEL PARTS / SENSORS, ACTUATION AND CONTROL VALVES

# Accelerator Pedal & Throttle Sensors (APPS / TPS)

Need an APPS or throttle-position sensor? Start with the original number and engine application so we can help identify the right assembly.

A sensor-related trouble code can have several causes. The original part number and engine application help our team narrow down an appropriate replacement inquiry.

## What this component controls or measures

APPS and TPS may refer to different pedal and throttle sensors. Verify the original assembly and engine generation to avoid the wrong part.

## Match the Right Part to Your Equipment

Record the pedal or throttle assembly number, connector and vehicle or equipment year.

Give the sensor marking, connector style and location on the engine. If there is a diagnostic code, include the code and the observed symptom rather than using the code as the part identification.

## Replacement and diagnostic questions

Check electrical input, wiring and control-specific calibration before selecting a replacement sensor.

Check connection, mounting and test results before assuming a sensor or valve is the cause of a code or symptom. Sensor nomenclature can vary across engine families and is not proof of interchangeability.

## Part Names and Identification

Related part names include APPS accelerator pedal position sensor, TPS throttle position. Confirm the original number, connector and circuit before ordering.

## Need Help Finding This Part?
