DIESEL PARTS / SENSORS, ACTUATION AND CONTROL VALVES

# Injection Pressure Regulators (IPR)

Looking for an IPR valve? Injection-pressure regulators serve high-pressure oil systems and differ from diesel fuel-rail regulators.

A sensor-related trouble code can have several causes. The original part number and engine application help our team narrow down an appropriate replacement inquiry.

## What this component controls or measures

An IPR controls oil pressure in applicable hydraulically actuated injection systems. It is not the same as a fuel rail pressure regulator.

## Match the Right Part to Your Equipment

Include engine family, IPR valve marking and relevant high-pressure oil diagnostics.

Give the sensor marking, connector style and location on the engine. If there is a diagnostic code, include the code and the observed symptom rather than using the code as the part identification.

## Replacement and diagnostic questions

Confirm oil-side system conditions and the correct valve configuration before installing a replacement.

Check connection, mounting and test results before assuming a sensor or valve is the cause of a code or symptom. Sensor nomenclature can vary across engine families and is not proof of interchangeability.

## Part Names and Identification

Related part names include IPR valve HEUI, injection pressure regulator solenoid. Confirm the original number, connector and circuit before ordering.
