Fuel Injection Control Modules (FICM)

A fuel-injection control module interfaces with electrically controlled injectors. Symptoms attributed to a module can overlap with wiring, supply voltage and injector concerns.

Start with the original module number and the engine control system, not just a fault code. DCT can review identification and parts-availability questions.

Where this component fits

An electronic module fault may be difficult to separate from power supply, wiring, grounds and connected devices. The correct module number and application matter.

Identify the correct part before ordering

Provide the exact module number, engine family, known fault codes and electrical testing results.

Provide clear photos of the module case, label and connectors. Share engine and vehicle details, known trouble codes and whether power supply and harness faults have been checked.

Replacement and programming questions

Before comparing new, refurbished or replacement units, confirm the hardware and any programming requirements.

A listed control module is not guaranteed to be programmable for every engine or available in rebuilt condition. Compare the exact hardware, software requirements and application with the item actually offered.

Common names and related search terms

Related terms include FICM Power Stroke; diesel injector electronic control module. Acronyms on an engine fault report do not by themselves identify a replacement module or its software configuration. Provide the complete part number and intended application when requesting a quote.
