CONNECTED SERVICE WORKFLOW / STEP 01 OF 06

DIAGNOSIS & EVALUATION

Identify the exact component and understand the reported problem before choosing the service scope.

DCT SERVICE PROCESS / STEP 01

DIAGNOSIS & EVALUATION

Symptoms alone cannot always distinguish a pump or injector defect from another fuel-system issue. DCT reviews the engine and equipment application, part numbers, previous tests and condition as received.

What this step can involve

  • Capture part number, manufacturer and component family
  • Review reported symptoms and any relevant engine-level findings
  • Confirm the methods available for the specific unit
  • Explain evaluation scope and any initial fees before proceeding

The exact work varies with the component and is subject to confirmed eligibility, applicable procedures, available parts and customer authorization.

Part of one connected process

These six stages explain the overall fuel-injection workflow. A specific component may require only some of them. Service scope is decided after evaluation and approval.

TECHNICAL DETAIL / CONNECTED SERVICE PROCESS

START WITH THE EVIDENCE, NOT A PARTS GUESS

DCT uses the component family, reported concerns and supported test procedure to determine which stages apply. No stage is automatically included or approved by a submitted inquiry.

  1. 01

Read the complete identification and match the exact component family.

  2. 02

Review owner-reported symptoms, removal circumstances and prior engine-side tests.

  3. 03

Determine which inspection, leakage, delivery or electronic checks the actual unit supports.

  4. 04

Explain diagnostic limits and the recommended next action before work is authorized.

A useful distinction

No-start, smoke and power-loss complaints can originate outside the pump. A bench observation informs the decision but does not by itself diagnose an entire engine.

THE RIGHT ANSWER STARTS
