CONNECTED SERVICE WORKFLOW / STEP 02 OF 06
Use applicable procedures to evaluate supported injector condition and performance.
DCT SERVICE PROCESS / STEP 02
Injector families differ. Appropriate test conditions, opening behavior, flow and leakage observations must be chosen for the actual system rather than assumed from vehicle branding.
The exact work varies with the component and is subject to confirmed eligibility, applicable procedures, available parts and customer authorization.
These six stages explain the overall fuel-injection workflow. A specific component may require only some of them. Service scope is decided after evaluation and approval.
TECHNICAL DETAIL / CONNECTED SERVICE PROCESS
DCT uses the component family, reported concerns and supported test procedure to determine which stages apply. No stage is automatically included or approved by a submitted inquiry.
Mechanical units may need opening-pressure, spray pattern and leakage checks.
Common-rail units may require electrical response, delivery and back-leak checks.
EUI/HEUI systems require attention to their own actuation and control design.
Results must be interpreted against the part number and a supported test procedure.
A mechanical pop test should not be represented as a universal common-rail injector test. The available measurements and conclusions are different.
Tell us the component, equipment, symptoms and part numbers you have. We’ll help determine the appropriate next step before you ship or travel.
