Field Guides / Worksheets & decision tools
A specialist can do more with a useful problem statement than with a cardboard box and a part number. This printable worksheet brings together engine details, original complaint, prior tests, component identification and the specific question the sending shop needs answered. It reduces back-and-forth, especially when the same technician cannot answer questions later.
Document before component removal
Include any codes, engine/ECM identity, rail or supply observations obtained by approved tests, contamination findings and previous repairs. For injectors, preserve cylinder location and coding. For pumps, record the complete tag and application. Do not assume that an engine type or VIN alone is sufficient for part identification.
The worksheet stays in your browser; it does not send a service request and does not authorize shipping or repair. Do not enter unnecessary personal information. Printing, copying and saving are controlled by your own device. Request written receiving approval before sending any fuel-containing component.

What the specialist should answer
Ask whether the actual component can be tested against a validated procedure; what a failed result would establish; and whether repair, rebuilding or replacement is supported. Preserve the returned bench report and reconcile it with engine-side findings before completing the vehicle work order.
Contact DCT about a specific component
Use the authorized service inquiry to ask about testing or repair eligibility. A worksheet does not submit an inquiry or approve shipment.
