DCT LINE CARD / INJECTORS AND INJECTOR SERVICE PARTS

Mechanical Diesel Fuel Injectors

Mechanical injectors may use nozzles, holders and spring-loaded opening mechanisms. Opening pressure and spray behavior must be evaluated for the specific injector design.

Before selecting an injector-related part, establish the injector technology, full number and engine application. DCT can discuss available sourcing and supported testing or service options.

Where this component fits

Injector-system type determines which parts and tests are relevant. A mechanical injector, common-rail injector and hydraulically actuated electronic injector need different checks.

Identify the correct part before ordering

Share the complete injector holder number, nozzle identifier and engine application.

For an injector inquiry, distinguish the complete assembly from a nozzle, holder or service part. Supply any manufacturer marks and the engine identification to reduce the risk of ordering the wrong design.

Inspection, cleaning, rebuild or replacement?

Ask whether inspection, nozzle work, cleaning, testing or replacement is appropriate for the actual injector.

Cleaning alone does not verify injection performance. Testing, rebuild suitability, return-flow or electrical checks depend on injector design. Ask which procedures are appropriate for the specific supported injector.

Common names and related search terms

Related terms include mechanical injector replacement; pop tester; pintle nozzle; opening pressure. Names such as injector, nozzle, holder, EUI, HEUI and common rail may refer to distinct parts or complete assemblies. Provide the complete part number and intended application when requesting a quote.
